Brother Vinton Julios Clifford

 -1915-

A master's job is never done, it lives on through the ages.

The Annual Installation of Officers was held on January 23, 1915. The first Stated Meeting of the year was held on the following Friday the 29th. A committee of 2 was formed to find out what had happened to the Clovis Fraternal Temple Company and to give a report in the coming months.

By February the necessary papers had been filed with the State of California for the paperwork to be able to form the company to obtain a Temple.

It is also worth noting here that many Lodge's along with Clovis Lodge spent a lot of time conferring degrees at this time and it was not un-common for them to open Lodge in all three degrees in one evening for the purpose of examinations and also for the purpose of conferring degrees.

Brother Clifford caused to be printed the stated meeting times and dates in the local newspaper, The Clovis Tribune.

In December of this year it was decided by motion and vote to allow the Clovis Fraternal Temple Company go by the wayside and agreed not to pay the taxes for the said year to the State of California. The dream of owning our own building was for the time, lost.

On March 28, 1941 the brethren laid to rest Bro. Vinton Julios Clifford, Past Master of Clovis Lodge, in the Clovis Cemetery. Bro. Clifford was a well respected member of the community and of Clovis Lodge.
